Coming Soon at the Creek

Coming to MCA Friday, June 14 and a home near you!
What is “Dinner for Eight”? It’s a regular event held in a number of homes on the same evening, bringing people of all age groups together in an informal atmosphere.
What is the purpose? The purpose is to meet and socialize with one another outside of the church. It is hoped that there will be people at the dinner who don’t know each other very well – if at all!
How does it work? Participants will put their name forward as either hosts or guests. These names will be arranged into groups of eight, and they will be given the host’s name and address.
Who provides the food? It will be a Potluck dinner, with each person/couple bringing their prepared meal for sharing – this can be home-made or even KFC!
What about all the work for the hosts? Other than getting the venue ready, providing space and dishes and possible food re-heating, there is usually little extra work for the hosts. The washing-up is shared by the guests! (Men?)
Can I choose my guests? No, there is an element of surprise involved, which adds to the excitement of the evening. The host will not know who is attending either!
Is the evening only for couples? Absolutely not! Every member of the MCA family is welcome. Parents should use their discretion concerning bringing young children. Some hosts welcome children.
What do I do now? Register on-line at www.missioncreekalliance.com or fill in the tear-off form below and return it to the Welcome Desk in the foyer. Make sure you state your preference of ‘Host or Guest’, or even both if you wish, then turn up on the evening and enjoy!
