It's amazing to me to see the large numbers of new people who are attending services at MCA each week. I'm trying to get to know you - to at least put a face to a name!

I know that many of you are loving the services and ministries we offer on Sundays, but I also know that some of you are asking: "how do I get to know people here - can I become friends with any of these people?" Realistically, about half of congregational members will potentially be involved in a smaller care group (a great relational opportunity), while the rest, for whatever reason are not able to.

I have spoken about the "Lego" theory of relationships. That is - each of us has a finite number of "pins" whereby we can connect with others as friends. You may have four, six or twelve potential relationship "pins". If you have been at MCA a long time, your pins may be full, while if you are new here, all your pins may be open!

While we can't make friends for anybody, we can give you opportunities to meet others. Over the remainder of the year we will be highlighting those connecting opportunities for you to take advantage of by displaying a Lego block logo beside the event - just like a restaurant will put a cayenne pepper logo beside a hot menu item.

These events have value in themselves but are also a connecting opportunity for you. I hope you will be wise and take advantage of these chances to connect.

Some will happen regularly and some are one off events. Some will be social in nature, while others will be prayer or teaching times.

Church is a place for relationship with God but also with others. Lego events are a tool for you to use to find your place at MCA!
