….time marches toward the day of Christmas…I find it not so much a march, as a nice walk, and occasionally a run, Okay, sometimes it’s a rabid random sprint, and alas it’s a crawl too.

I have had some memorable moments already this season. I have been introduced to a new Christmas song by a local artist while participating in the Glenmore Elementary production of Charlie Brown Christmas, that’s good. Sitting on my desk is a hand made card by a student actor – To Mr. T – Thank You soooooooooo much! Our church family is having a season of rich times together.

I continue to hear accounts of people Being the Church, here’s one from this last week:
A lady from our church family has a passion for ministry to single mom’s, so she put on a dinner for single moms. She recruited some helpers, they tastefully decorated the Mission Creek room, cooked a first class meal, and served them. Wow! Oh yeah, there was swag for the ladies, and beautiful keyboard styling during the meal from one of our talented musicians. This lady’s family business foundation funded the event. It was a combination of spiritual giftedness and passion to be the church. When I took a peak into the event – inside I said “thank you God, for your church in action…”

In the immortal words of Charlie Brown, “Isn’t there anyone who knows what Christmas is all about?”

Sure Charlie Brown, we do…
